Alcazar Asylum

In the middle of the 19th century, a doctor named Alexander Alcazar founded Alcazar Asylum though the full name is the Roscoe Alcazar Asylum for the Mental Criminality, naming if after his father. The Alcazar family were originally immigrants from Spain. Alexander used the land that his family owned to build it. His large mansion served as Asylum first with some of the large quarters turned to treatment facilities and even cells were designed by architect Leonard Tyrell. He used the rest of his family's wealth to construct more buildings part of the Asylum:

A medical building where both inmates and others are treated for injuries

A Penitentiary to house all or most of the inmates, including showers, toilets and a confiscated locker room where all items/weapons belonging to the prisoners are stored

A Rehabilitation Center for the inmates to be treated for their illnesses and mental disorders

A factory wing where the inmates perform labor and production work

And a visitors building where friends/family of inmates can speak with the prisoners

With the convient location of the Asylum on a small island separated from mainland Silverwater, several journalists deemed Alcazar one of the best prisons ever in America, after Blackstone Penitentiary which houses prisoners who do not suffer from mental disorders or insanity.

Alexander was the first Warden of Alcazar but he disappeared without a trace so his son Adrian became the new Warden. But Adrian was slowly losing his grip on reality and was eventually admitted to his own father's asylum. Then after cutbacks, the Asylum was closed. Though decades later it was reopened

The current staff is:

Warden Andre Shepard who sees the patients as a disease on the city and believes that cleansing is the only cure for them

Kirk Chapman who treats Sil and Sharkey. Deep down he holds feelings for Sil. Whether this is by Sil's doing or by his own, is not known

Donald Chase is one of the most experienced and respected guards at Alcazar. He has an enemity with the inmate Scar where ironically first he was a cop at SCPD who brought several criminals before Julius Blaine became Scar

Kent Morton is another guard who got attacked by Redhawk after he unintentionally made a joke about the latter's family

Elmer Burt is one of the janitors at Alcazar who was once taken hostage by Hook

Terry Doyle, another guard but not the best one. He hosted illegal poker games, attacked patients when insulted even a little, has the arrogant belief that he is best guard there is and practically disliked by everyone, guards and inmates

Valerie Fields is one of the doctors that also treats patients at Alcazar. She once got bitten by Fang when treating him

Ronnie Blair is another doctor whom despite what he chooses is terrified of nearly every inmate in the Asylum, even some of the guards. But he does not appear to be afraid of Flame who is one the least violent patients in the Asylum

Ash Nelson is one of the senior guards at Alcazar. During a riot, he single-handly took on Anarcho and put him back into his cell

Aaron Sharp is the Head of Research at Alcazar. He pushes himself forward and believes firmly that anything can be cured with the right treatment. He is however intolerant of people getting in the way of his work, whether the inmates or other doctors and even guards. He is personally fascinated by Lilith Matrix

Jodi Wall is another experienced guard at Alcazar. She is able to withstand Reaper's Memory Gas with her strong will

Calvin Gardner is another doctor who treats patients that rely on equipment to hurt or injure others so focuses on Lock and Redhawk
